Before
The supplier was new to its market and sold to two kinds of buyers: people who need a few items for one job, and trade customers who order again and again and need a proper invoice for their books.
Every order meant phone calls or emails back and forth about what was needed, which day to pick it up and how it would be paid. The owners wanted customers to choose products, pick a pickup day and pay in a few minutes, and wanted the crew to see every order in one place instead of in voicemails and inboxes.
What we did
An online store with card payments
Customers choose products, pick a pickup day and pay by card at checkout. The store offers only the pickup times the supplier can fill.
Invoices for trade accounts
A trade customer applies for credit online. Once approved, they order without paying at checkout and get an invoice by email with a payment link.
Customer accounts
Each customer has a login with past orders, order status and invoices, so a repeat order is quick.
A back office for the crew
One board shows new orders and orders ready for pickup. The crew prints packing slips, rings up counter sales and keeps the stock count in the same place.
Order updates by text
When an order is ready, the customer gets a text or an email, whichever they chose. If someone else is picking up, that person gets the text too.
An AI assistant on the phone and by text
It answers calls and texts, gives prices and pickup times, checks stock and takes orders. It also answers in the chat on the website.
After
Online ordering opened on September 18, 2026 and the first order came in on September 21. By October 18 the store had 64 orders: 6 in the last two weeks of September and 58 in the first 18 days of October.
Since October customers can also order by phone or by text through the AI assistant. All three ways end up in the same back office, where the crew sees the order, prints the slip, sends the invoice to trade accounts and watches the stock. Orders no longer live in voicemails and email threads.
Trade customers get their invoices and their credit limit in their account, and counter sales go through the same back office as the online orders.
